length = x + 4

Area = l * w = 60

Area = x * (x + 4) = 60

x^2 + 4x - 60 = 0

(x - 6)(x + 10) = 0

x - 6 = 0 is the only valid answer. Nothing can be minus in this question.

x - 6 = 0

x = 6

So the width is 6

The length = 6 + 4 = 10
