3 + ×/2 = 10 (take away 3 from both sides)

×/2 = 7 ( multiply both sides by 2)

× = 14

Multiply everything by 2 to cancel out the fraction, making the equation; 6+2x=20, then follow the simple rules of solving a multistep equation. Subtract the 6 from both sides making it 2x=14, divide everything by 2, the answer being x=7
