Base clefs are the lower keys that give you a deep sound and treble clefs are the complete opposite

It's spelled bass clef.

They both are at different octaves, which means one is going to be higher playing the same notes, and one is going to be lower. They are opposites if each other. If you line both staffs close to each other playing C#, then you can see that they match up.
