One limitation of using a Chemical as  C₆H₁₂O₆, is that it just gives information about the molecular formula, it does not reveal the type bond structures involved in the compound C₆H₁₂O₆.

An understanding of the bond structure involved in 
C₆H₁₂O₆ can best help to interpret how it would react with other chemical compounds.
