An alliteration is
When the sounds of the beginning of one word match (similar sound group) with another. 

example #1) Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers
example #2) She sells sea-shells down by the sea-shore

Confusing to explain.. But i think the example helped.. :P
