Well the nationalism was strongest in Germany after the Great War due to the fact that Germany had been blamed for everything. We can see it when Hitler started to rise to power. His message would often be "Germany wake up" referring to them as one. You can see it in documentaries in Germany when Hitler became chancellor of Germany. He got the German people to fall behind him
