Decomposers interact with their ecosystem and it makes a big different on life in that area.
Decomposers get ahold of energy by breaking down remains of a once living organism and breaks down its elements to obtain elements like nitrogen and carbon. These elements then will be soaked into the soil, giving that energy to nearby growing plants, and those plants will be consumed by animals. Decomposers play a big role in an ecosystem for numerous reasons.
