It ranges from finding deeper meaning to the characters and plot to understanding the themes.

When you analyze a play, it is almost like you tore it to pieces and are inspecting each piece under a magnifying glass. Analyzing a play helps the reader to understand it more. It helps you to understand what the author is trying to say.
