Answer is x^2 + 3x - 5 As, f(x) = 3x + 1 And g(x) = x^2 - 6 We have to find (f+g)(x) For that we should know (f+g)(x) = f(x) + g(x) So it will become = (3x + 1) + (x^2 - 6) = 3x + 1 + x^2 - 6 = x^2 + 3x - 5
