The GPS or global
positioning system is a satellite – based navigation system made up of a
network of 24 satellites placed into orbit by the US Department of Defense. It was
originally intended for military applications but later one, it made available
for civilian use. It works in any weather conditions, anywhere in the world for
24 hours a day.
