Even though it may be hard to distinguish feature of Homo heidelbergensis from Homo erectus, its predecessor, Homo heidelbergensis brain was larger than Homo erectus. Additionally, compared with Homo erectus, the skeleton and teeth are larger in Homo heidelbergensis.
