when you ask a question, you have to give some points. so, if you have more points it means you can ask more questions and offer a larger amount of points.
also, you can get into higher ranks by getting more points. i used to be "beginner" but now i'm "helping hand" because I have 128 points! btw, highest rank is "genius." you have to have 15000 points to be that!
