AC       =        DB     (Proved)

Here, in the triangle ADE

AB = DC (Given)

Now, by EUCLID's LEMMA

If equals are added  to equals, the sum  are equal.

⇒   AB   +   BC   =   DC   +   BC

or,         AC       =        DB
