Why is the ten or fifteen second method of taking a pulse less accurate than counting the beats in an entire minute?

Using more time gives you a more accurate statistic for measurement.

Because when you count for a whole minute you get the exact beat per minute but if you do 10 or 15, it is an estimate so it could be slightly off
