There is some number that if you add 5 to it first,and then divide that total by 3,you get 12. whats the number?

the answer is 31!

So if you do 12 x 3 that is 36 and 36-5 is 31
so then you see if it works
31 +5 = 36
36/3 = 12

so the answer is 31 :)
