Distance = speed × time

Given
Distance = 225 km
Time = 2.5 hrs

Find speed:

D = s × t
225 = s × 2.5
Divide by 2.5 on either sides to isolate s

[tex] \frac{225}{2.5} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{2.5s}{2.5} [/tex]
2.5 and 2.5 cancels out

90 = s
speed = 90 km/hr   (as the given were km and hr)
