Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:    4 + e^(-2)

Discussion:

4 + ln(x-4) = 2.

Subtract 4 from both sides:

ln(x-4) = 2 - 4 = -2 =>

This means that

x -4 = e^(-2)

Add 4 to both sides.

x = 4 + e^(-2)

Thank you,

MrB
