In an attempt to locate the legendary Seven Cities of Cibola, Francisco Vasquez de Coronado found the Navajo tribes.
Eventually, Vasquez died, but the European influence grew, and with them, the exposure the exposure of local tribes to the European diseases.
Too many of the Navajo died because of it.
