b^5 divided by a^2

I don't know how to do the fraction thingy on this thing but to explain it, since a has a negative exponent it has to move to the denominator for this equation to work. That is why the b^2 is on top and the a^2 on the bottone. Once the a^-2 goes to the bottom, it loses the negative sign.

remember that [tex]a^{-b}=\frac{1}{a^b}[/tex]

so

[tex]a^{-2}b^5=[/tex]

[tex](\frac{1}{a^2})(b^5)=[/tex]

[tex]\frac{b^5}{a^2}[/tex]
