It depends on how many slices there in for each cake. If the 2 cakes were cut into 4 pieces then it would be 2 pieces of cake for each friend. I got this by taking the number of slices and dividing it to the friends (keep in mind these are whole numbers).

Each friend would get half of the cake because 2 over 4 equals 2/4 which is simplified to 1/2 so each friend would get 1/2 of the cake
