The line contains the points (-4,0) and (0,-2).

slope of the line= m =[tex] \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}} =\frac{-2-0}{0-(-4)} = -\frac{1}{2} [/tex]

Slope-intercept formula is

y=mx +b

m= - 1/2, b=-2, b is y-intercept.

(y= (-1/2)x -2) /*2

2y = -x - 4

x + 2y = - 4 is standard form of the line.
