Multiply both sides by 3 :

3 * 2 - 3 * ( z / 3 )  = 3 * 12

Refine :

6 - z =  36

Subtract 6 from both sides:

6 - z  - 6 = 36 - 6

- z / - 1 =   30 / - 1
