An eagle was at an altitude of 1450 m. The eagle decreased its altitude to 1200 m. What was the percent decrease in the altitude? Round to the nearest percent.

The answer is 17% (rounded to the nearest percent).

1450 - 1200 = 250.
(250 ÷ 1450) × 100 = 17.24...%
Round 17.24...% to nearest percent = 17%.
