1) [tex] 2(2x -4) = 3(x +4) [/tex]

2) [tex]4x - 8[/tex]

3) [tex]3x+12[/tex]

4) [tex]1x - 8 = 12[/tex]
 
5) [tex]1x = 20[/tex]

4x - 8 = 3x + 12 

x -8 =  12
